Top Facebook Hacks You Probably Didn't Know

You must be registered to see links

With billions of users, Facebook is a great tool to advertise your brand or product. But you probably haven’t discovered several useful functions available on this popular social media platform.

In this article, we will present some Facebook hacks that will enable you to stand out from the rest of your competitors. We’re also sharing a few ways to enhance your personal profile.

    1. Improve your content quality by using the HD photo and video photo function.

After that fun and engaging company event, it’s exciting to share videos and photos with your followers and potential customers. Normally, the uploaded photos and videos come out in poor quality. To solve this, use the HD upload function of Facebook.

All you need to do is to make adjustments on your Facebook account settings. Just open the Facebook app on your phone and go to menu in the lower corner part.

Then, choose Settings & Privacy and select Settings. Then choose Videos and Photos, and turn on the Upload HD.

    2. You have another inbox in your account. Check it out.

If you have been using Facebook for a long time, it’s quite likely that you have a folder containing several unread messages you didn’t know you had—this folder is the “Message Requests.” This folder stores all messages from people you’re not friends with. It could be your high school admirer or a bunch of spammers. You don’t know. Good thing, there’s a way to check these messages out.

To check these messages, click on the messages icon located at the top portion of your home screen.

The “Recent” tab of your inbox is selected by default. On the right of the recent tab, you will find the “Message Requests” tab. Click on this tab, then click on “See filtered requests.” Click on that link and you will find various messages from strangers. Hope you enjoy reading those messages.

    3. You can log out of Facebook remotely if you forgot to log out your account using other devices.

Whether you log into your Facebook account using your friend’s device or a public device, it is essential to log out every time.

But there are times that we forgot to log out our account. It is not a problem. Just follow these steps:

Log into your account on your desktop computer. Then go to Settings, and click on Security and Login located at the upper left corner. Choose the previous device that you had used under the “Where You’re Logged In” section.

Then click the icon that corresponds to the previous device that you were using and choose Log Out.

    4. Select a “Legacy Contact.”

All Facebook users live temporarily in this world. In preparation for an inevitable event, Facebook offers a function that will allow you to input a legacy contact who will handle your account after you pass away.

Your chosen legacy contact will be given the authority to create a pinned post for your profile, reply to friend requests (e.g., family or friends who were not using Facebook before you die), or modify your profile.

They can also download all data in your account, excluding the messages you received or sent. You can also instruct them to delete your account in case you die.

Facebook will regularly send a yearly reminder to update your legacy contact. However, if you’re not using this function, you won’t receive that notification.

Just go to Settings, then General, then Manage Account, and Edit.

Under the Legacy Contact option, select one of your trusted Facebook friends to be your legacy contact. If you are chosen as a legacy contact by someone, you may also use this feature to inform Facebook about the death of the person and request to get it memorialized.

    5. Check out your friend requests from the time you joined Facebook.

This feature allows you to view people who deleted or ignored your friend request. Facebook certainly has the capacity to trace that. To use this function, click on the Friend Requests icon (two people in silhouette) located at the upper portion of the Facebook page. After clicking the icon, you’ll find a list of suggestion of "People You May Know." Then click the “See All” link located at the bottom. Click “View Sent Requests” under New Friend Requests on the next page. There you go; you can now view the people who dislike you or the people who seldom check Facebook.

    6.Transfer money through Facebook.

In the Computer Age, there are several services that will enable you to send and receive money from your mobile device or computer.

These include PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo, and now Facebook. To facilitate the transaction, a valid debit card is required for both the recipient and sender.

This payment method allows users to conveniently buy products and pay for social network games.

Although this is usually tied to Facebook Messenger, this also works well on the regular Facebook platform. To set up this payment method in Messenger, go to Settings, click on Payments, and click on the Account Settings. Then, you can now input your debit card information. Once confirmed valid, you can now send or request money.

If you prefer to use this via the regular Facebook platform, just open a pop-up conversation with one of your friends. This can be accessed through the New Message icon located at the bottom right portion of your screen or through the Messenger link. Select the dollar sign at the lower portion of chat window. Now, you can send or receive funds.
