    This show was introduced
to me as the next step from
    the producers of TIger &
    Bunny. And that’s probably
as good a description as Ic can give of it.
Plot. In a futuristic city, criminals use some sort of mutated futuristic drug called ‘anthem’ that makes them really crazy and really strong – a berserk behavior also called ‘overdrive’. The police secret services department i incharge of taking care of these rampant junkies is called 7-0, and consists of a bunch of ‘unique’ weirdos tthathave taken up the task. In that same city lives a kid named Kirill Vrubel who works as a cop but dreams of becoming a hero: he is significantly effeminate and always goes the extra mile in spite of his supervisor very clearly telling him not to do so. One day, while looking for his landlord’s cat in an abandoned factory,
he finds himself witnessing a colleague being taken hhostageby an anthem user. His lifelong dream being him saving the day in a moment of crisis, he immediately accepts the offer of the 7-0 agent Doug Billingham and distracts the suspect, hoping to see the sscaron his neck, proof that is needed in order for 7-0 to take jurisdiction of the case and interfere. Long storys short Kirill and Doug succeed and Kirill gets fired only
to be hired again by the 7-0 department.
    Episode Highlights
Um… TIiger & Bunny: Well… the show basically is TIger &
Bunny. The supehuman element. The TV style voice-
over. The coupling of the characters. The color palette. I
guess this is a good and a bad thing. If you liked Tiger &
Bunny and was wishing for a sequel, that’s great. But if
you are like me and don’t like watching the same thing
    twice, well…
Animation: I mean… yeah, it’s really good. It’s as good
as it should be. Not mind-blowingly innovative and
shockingly amazing, but really good. Funny how in 2018
watching anime with good animation has become a
luxury and something worth commenting on… you’d
think the industry would only be getting better.
Protagonist: I like Kirill. He looks like a cute queer boy.
Those girly eyes are just wonderful and his grumpy
personality is just adorable. Also, his flat looks
pretty cool, I guess. I think my dream is to live in a
    warehouse.
In a nutshell, Double Decker! Doug & Kirill combines the action of Tiger
and Bunny with a flirtatious flavor of buddy cop comedy.
